Weekly Internal News (W.I.N.)

    Road Closures

    • Travelers needing to access I-85 southbound from Webb Road will be detoured onto I-85 northbound for approximately 2 miles to exit 72 (Peach Orchard Road) and then return to I-85 southbound. Due to the size of the I-85 repairs the lane closure as well as the ramp closure may last until August 29th.
    • A contractor that will be replacing sidewalk along with upgrading ADA ramps to current standards beginning tentatively on Monday 7/26/21. They will begin working at the intersection of Main St and Fulton St, then continue working North. For more information, read this article.
    • The Bell Tower Green project will close the 200 block of W Fisher St until the project is completed.
    • Monday July 26th - Friday July 30th from 9:00AM to 4:00PM, contract forces will be closing the outside lane of W Innes St Eastbound from S Jackson St to S Church St to perform various construction activities.
    • A section of the Greenway in the Crescent - Forestdale Drive through Hogan’s Valley Way - is closed until further notice due to tree work. Citizens/employees should refrain from entering this section until it is reopened.

Salisbury lands $100,000 Lowe’s 100 Hometowns Grant

The City of Salisbury  is thrilled to be one of the 100 impact projects nationwide that are the cornerstone of  100 Hometowns , an initiative to celebrate Lowe’s centennial.

After a year of planning, site research and the preparation, Fame is now in her final location, placed in historical context, overlooking the graves of the soldiers for which she was originally created in perpetuity.
